[What is the Earth Art Festival]
It is one of the largest international art festivals in the world and a pioneer of regional art festivals held all over Japan.
Experience a new journey around the satoyama along the way of art, set in the Echigo-Tsumari area of Niigata Prefecture (= the village of the Earth Art Festival: Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture, Tsunan Town), one of Japan's most depopulated and aging areas. I can do it. Approximately 200 works are exhibited throughout the year in this area where the life of "satoyama", which has been related to the earth through agriculture, still remains abundant.
