The description of Frenkey
Frenkey App provide features to control gates and locks through the Frenkey service.
It provides an evolutionary access experience obsoleting all traditional tools used to open gates and doors like keys, remote controls and cards. All these objects are dematerialised meaning converted to digital and stored securely into a smart device like a mobile phone.
The app works as a keychain storing several keys of several locks. A simple user interface organises digital keys in keychains. User first select the keychain and after use the key. First key chain selected is the preferred key chain as defined by the user.
Keys can be created, delivered to users, activated, deactivated and destroyed by means of the app. All this securely, online and without any physical interaction between users.
Different user roles are supported. Before any access, user is first authenticated. Different authentication options are available including biometry and pin.
Service allows time-based access controls with keys expiration time and weekly policies that can be defined per user and per access.
Moreover, log of actions is also available.
Frenkey has three main components: an app, a cloud system and a compatible device like Frenkey box. Frenkey box is the secure unit that controls the access. It can be set up on any doors or gate that have an electric lock.
Security is at the heart of the service.
Each user has its own key, different from all the other keys and defined and known only by him.
End to end security creates a secure tunnel between the user and the Frenkey box protecting keys and communications from malicious threats and eavesdropping.
