Mahjong Party is a new fun app where you can enjoy playing your favorite version of the classic Chinese board game Mahjong online and have fun in voice chat.
This Chinese tile game became popular all across the world. There are lots of versions of the game but the majority prefer playing the following types:
- Chinese (International) Mahjong
- Riichi Mahjong
- Taiwanese Mahjong (16 tile)
- Hong Kong Style
- American Mahjong
- Mahjong solitaire.
Mahjong is played with tiles, or pais, very similar to tiles in dominoes but engraved with Chinese symbols and characters and divided into suits and honors.
The object of play is similar to that of the rummy card games. A player should obtain sets of tiles and complete a winning hand. There are three kinds of sets: chow (3 tiles of the same kind), pung, and kong. The first player to hold a complete hand - four sets and a pair of like tiles (a total of 14 tiles) - wins!
